Since 2006 over $220 million has been lost on pokies at the two Essendon Football Club owned gaming venues – Windy Hill and the Melton Country Club. With the venues operating since the first half of the 1990s, the actual amount lost is far higher. In FY22-23 the total was a 16-year high of $14,721,208.
